Hull Readies Itself for Brand New Eaterie Posted On 30 July 2021

New Artisan-style sandwich shop, S’whichbakehouse, will start to serve its hungry residents on August 30th

But this new lunchtime attraction will be different to most, as customers will experience a rather unusual mix of flavours in between their bread. It’s not just the combinations of flavours which make this eatery so appealing though, because the quantities will also have your appetite growing, with some of its sandwiches, wraps, and rolls containing up to eight different fillings.

And if you’re wondering what fillings you could get in your sandwich, then a visit to S’whichbakehouse’s Instagram page will display some of the weird and wonderful  sandwich fillers, which include chicken goujons, prawns, smoked salmon, corned beef, jalapenos, avocado, salt beef, streaky bacon, chorizo, smoked applewood, peppers, and trout.

Despite not yet being open, word certainly seems to be getting around about the quirky new company, with the Instagram page boasting over 1100 followers at this early stage.

Their page also shows images of some of the sandwiches which will be available.

One of the most striking images must surely be the ‘Open smoked salmon cream cheese sandwich with loads of onuga and samphire’. Onuga, which is similar to caviar, is not often seen on a sandwich, so could well be worth a gamble. And if you’re worried about the price of this delicacy, then think again, because Onuga is available at a fraction of the price of caviar.

Some of the other menu items on display are a pork belly sandwich, as well as a pastrami sandwich, a deep fried hot dog baguette, and even an antipasti roll.

If this sounds up your street, the shop will first open up Hull’s Fruit Market on Bank Holiday Monday, and if successful, will aim to provide its food out of a permanent shop in the near future. You could likewise be in luck if you also provide food, as S’whichbakehouse also outlines keenness to collaborate with different companies.
